Interim HR with a team behind it.

Is your HR manager out of the picture, is growth outpacing HR capacity, or is there a project that no one else can handle? We’ll step in quickly, keep operations running smoothly, and ensure a smooth handover when the job is done.

You don't notice an HR gap right away. But you do after a few weeks.

It usually starts in one of these two ways.

Someone is leaving

Your HR manager is leaving or is unavailable, and the executive team is stepping in. We’ll jump right in to ensure that contracts, absence management, and questions from managers are handled as usual.

Growth is outpacing HR

What worked with 40 people is now a struggle with 120. We’re keeping our day-to-day operations running while putting the necessary pieces in place to continue growing.

We take on the work that’s been left undone. And we make sure things run more smoothly afterward than they did before.

Four situations in which we get on board

A smiling man wearing glasses and a green sweater taking an outdoor selfie with a woman in a red leather jacket against a clear blue sky.
Replacement
A temporary HR manager or HR consultant to cover for departures, leave, or absences. Operations continue as usual.
Two young women outdoors; one is looking at her phone and smiling, while the other is holding a phone and looking at her.
Structure
Too big to handle HR on your own, too small for a dedicated department. We’ll set up the first HR position until you’re ready to staff it yourselves.

Project
Salarishuis, a series of meetings, system implementation, or reorganization. Someone who can handle it and see it through to the end.

Reinforcement
Additional staff to support your HR team, for a set number of days per week. For as long as needed.

Interim HR that keeps working even when we're gone

A temporary worker keeps things running. So do we, but we use that time to set things up more efficiently. That way, you won't be back to square one after we leave.

At PXR, we kept operations running while continuing to build.

PXR’s HR team was temporarily understaffed. We worked 32 hours a week: 16 hours on operations and 16 hours on strategy. Jolke temporarily served as Head of HR and acted as a sounding board for the executive team. Finn kept operations running and reconfigured Nmbrs. When the new HR employee started, we trained her and handed everything over.
“Unfurl kept our HR operations running smoothly when we were understaffed, and in the meantime, everything was streamlined. When our new HR colleague started, there was a foundation in place that she could build on right away.”

This is how we get started

No lengthy onboarding period and no 30-page plan. We quickly understand what’s going on and take responsibility.
Get on
We're taking stock of what's moving forward, what's stalled, and what needs to be addressed first.
Rotate
Day-to-day HR operations continue as usual. Contracts, absenteeism, and questions from managers.
Improve
We immediately find smarter ways to organize whatever we come across along the way.
Transfer
We'll train your new colleague and ensure they gain the necessary knowledge, get into the swing of things, and take ownership.

“A good interim professional makes themselves unnecessary. That’s what we aim for from day one.”
